Recognition In Business Excellence For Xmo Strata

05 July 2010

Marden-based sign company, Xmo Strata, is celebrating being named as ‘SME Business of the Year‘ in the 2010 Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA).

The awards scheme saw more then 200 businesses from across Kent vying for the 11 awards on offer at the black tie event held at the Historic Dockyards, Chatham on 1 July.

Judges commended Xmo Strata as ‘a highly organised national signage implementation business with a fearsome strength in health and safety and very effective use of IT’.

Steve Martin, Managing Director of Xmo Strata, said: “This award is a tribute to everyone at Xmo Strata who has worked tirelessly over the past 12 months.

“We were a runner-up in KEiBA last year so it was great to finally walk away with the trophy. It means a great deal to everyone at the company to be rewarded for our achievements over the last year, which as we all know were even more of a challenge due to the economic climate.”

“The presentation evening was a tremendous event, there was a real sense of community between the companies involved in the awards and it was nice to see the support they all showed each other,” said Mr Martin.

Amongst other achievements, the award praised Xmo Strata's unique data management system, XmoMan - a software package developed in-house to manage site safety and help customers save money.

The company operates a nationwide service and counts retailers, retail parks, financial services companies and forecourt chains amongst its customers. It has made a name for itself as having the most highly trained engineers in the industry.
