Sign Firm's Snow Response

5 February 2009

Crews from sign installation and maintenance firm Xmo Strata have been braving blizzard conditions across the UK to help keep forecourts open for hard-pressed motorists.

Electrical faults and weather-damaged signs can close a forecourt, causing misery for motorists who may be unable to reach another one on snow-bound roads - and costing the forecourt tens of thousands of pounds in lost revenue.

Staff at the company's headquarters, have been co-ordinating crews across the UK in a constant battle against the elements - and despite driving thousands of miles through the worst winter storms since 1991, not a single crew became stranded.

“Every time there are adverse weather conditions and customers are in real trouble our crews excel themselves, and they've done so yet again,” said Managing Director Steve Martin.
