Specialised Valeting Service From Xmo Strata
28 January 2009
Sign installation and maintenance company Xmo Strata has launched a specialised sign valeting service.
The new service - which is additional to the company's existing sign valeting offering - uses purpose built VW Crafter vehicles carrying their own water tanks, cold pressure washers and hoses, lighting and a full health and safety pack including fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
The £30,000 vehicles have one key advantage: they allow operators to clean hard-to-reach areas without the need for ladders, access equipment, or the need to be near a water tap.
The service is particularly aimed at fascia signs, large building facades and undercanopy sheeting of the type found on retail stores and petrol forecourts. The first of the new vehicles has already joined the company's fleet.
It's all part of a bid to help Xmo Strata customers fight the recession and make signware last longer, and sits alongside Vicom HQ, a sign refurbishment product.
“As a market leader in the industry it is incumbent on us to help customers get through the tough times,” said Managing Director Steve Martin. “Any retail manager knows that shabby looking signage has a cost in terms of sales - but during a credit squeeze it is unrealistic to be constantly trying to sell new signage. Good maintenance can stretch the budget a lot further at a fraction of the cost.”
