Safety-First Companies Raise Cancer Cheque

15 January 2009

Sign installation and maintenance company Xmo Strata has generated a £2,800 cheque for Cancer Research - by getting oil company workers to watch a DVD!

The company has won nationwide respect for its diligent approach to health and safety matters, and during a special safety day it showed executives from a customer company a safety DVD made by SGB, worldwide supplier of scaffolding, access equipment, formwork and site safety systems. The executives were so impressed with the DVD that they asked Xmo Strata to acquire several hundred of them for their own employees to view.

Xmo Strata spoke to SGB - who refused to take payment, but said they would accept a donation to Cancer Research.

“SGB had the opportunity to take nearly £3,000 for virtually no effort during a recession, and instead they directed the money to Cancer Research,” said Xmo Strata Managing Director Steve Martin.
