Hearts & Minds Behavioural Change Workshops
Xmo Strata has made a commitment to running a series of in-house 'Behavioural Change' training workshops for all employees and sub-contractors in support of the Energy Institute's Hearts and Minds initiative.
The in-house workshops have been designed to enhance the knowledge and awareness of health and safety practice in the workplace, and encourage attendees to adopt even safer working practices to protect themselves and their colleagues from the risk of injury.
Managers have developed the courses with the specific trades of every Xmo Strata and Xmo Veritas team in mind, allowing attendees to study real life examples and discuss past incidents that could easily affect them in their work.
The first course, being introduced during 2009 covers the following:
- Who accidents affect and why
- How we receive and interpret safety messages
- Accident liability - who is responsible
- Understanding the workplace safety culture
- Near-misses: how and why should they be reported
- Making a commitment to a safer working culture
All Xmo Strata and Xmo Veritas employees and approved subcontractors will attend the first Hearts and Minds workshop during the course of 2009.
Many of the workshops are being attended by senior figures from Xmo Strata's client base and some are also hosting the days at their facilities.
