German Contractor Restricted Work Incident
16th February 2012
Please see enclosed self explanatory safety Alert from ExxonMobil.
This incident highlights the need to review all JSAs and identify any tasks that are not adequately covered. The most important step in reviewing JSA's is getting feedback from the people doing the job.
- Do the JSA's cover all tasks?
- Are there any steps missing?
- Are there any hazards missing?
- Are the JSA's practical?
- Can the job be done safer?
You are requested politely, as well as legally obliged under section 14 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, to notify us of any shortcoming in our procedures; we genuinely want to know and want to make our procedures as safe as they can be for you all. If you find any issues, or can improve any JSA or any other instruction - please tell us about it!
