According to HSE statistics there were 448 reportable injuries in the UK in 2007/2008 caused by contact with electricity, of these 9 were fatal.
Always keep an eye open for overhead lines. Do not erect towers, unload vehicles or work at height near them. If the job requires you to carry out work near the lines, contact your supervisor who can arrange for appropriate control measures to be put in place.
