A day in the life of me:
I only work four days a week and consider it to be my new “weekend”. A day at work for me differs, I can be busy preparing management accounts, completing VAT returns, or of course, making sure everybody is paid on time, the most important job of all according to my colleagues!
Before starting at Xmo Strata:
I worked for nearly three years at BAE Systems, Rochester in Financial Accounts. It was a very different role as I was managing the Fixed Assets on the Rochester site, and preparing foreign currency hedging deals for new contracts as well as administering existing deals. In a big company you are certainly kept busy but you only work in a limited area. Before BAE I worked for smaller companies similar to Xmo, where I worked as a Management Accountant for six years. I have also worked for a charity as an Accounts Assistant.
The thing I most enjoy about my job:
A great hands-on role in Accounts where I am involved in all aspects of the accounts function.
The thing I dislike most about my job:
It's only four days - sometimes I wish it was longer - crazy I know!!!
What makes Xmo Strata different to the rest?
This is the first time I have worked in this field so it's quite a difficult question. It is obvious to me that Xmo Strata has a great team dynamic and an excellent attitude to safety and training. I think these two things alone set the company apart from the rest.
